Urban Uco Tempranillo, 2013
Grape Varieties: Tempranillo
The 2013 Urban Uco Tempranillo is produced from Tempranillo vines between 5 and 12 years old from their older vineyards in La Consulta, in the south of the Uco Valley. It is fermented in stainless steel and aged in oak barrels for three months. Uco is a cold place, with frost in spring, quite similar to Ribera del Duero. The wine shows very fresh, exuberant aromas of red cherries and raspberries, flowers, and notes of pollen and honey. Polished and sleek, with fine acidity and clean flavors, it is a very drinkable, agreeable Tempranillo.
