Meyer-Näkel, Ahr

Spatburgunder Pinot Noir, 2014

tasting notes:

A very Burgundian style Pinot Noir, with lots of red fruit on the nose, some strong focus on the red cherry and raspberry components of Pinot Noir. Strong also with earthiness and slate on the nose and with very little oak that lets the fruit flavors prevail, the wine is light yet flavorful on the palate. A great compliment to grilled poultry and grilled fish as well as other light savory dishes. Meyer-Näkel won the ‘Decanter World Wine Award 2008’ for the world's best Pinot Noir.
