Rosenmuskateller is a grape from the Sudtirol (Alto Adige). Tasting this deep salmon-colored sweet wine the orange rind, apricot, and pungent herbal concentration of Muscat allies to brown spices and rose petal. A sappy and vibrant fruit acid enlivens the palate and it finishes like an infusion of rose petals, black tea, orange rind, and cinnamon stick. It manages to acquit itself quite well against several deserts but is naturally suited for meditative sipping as well.
