Crozes Hermitage 'le Rouvre',

13.5%

750 ml

Varietal: Syrah

Dark robe. The nose has an early aroma of damp leaves, crushed black berries, black raisin. The palate is inky, oily, bears a flavour of crushed black cherries and blueberries, finishes with a good tingle of lift.

"(one-third new oak) Lurid ruby. Powerful aromas of dark berry liqueur, pungent flowers and smoky minerals pick up a hint of incense with aeration. Silky and expansive on the palate, offering ripe, spice-tinged blackberry and cherry flavors and a touch of spice cake. Closes on a sweet violet pastille note, featuring impressive persistence, supple tannins and an echo of peppery spices." - Vinous by Antonio Galloni

“Overripe black fruit on the nose… with a lot of weight and ripeness. The palate is, by contrast, reasonably light and restrained, finishing with vanilla spice. A lovely, delicate iteration of Crozes-Hermitage.” - Richard Hemming MW, Jancis Robinson
