Region: Great Southern
Tasting Notes:
Aestatis is an ode to the summer on the Fleurieu Peninsula. This wine reflects the summer in the openly fruity character of the Grenache grape which dominates this Cuvee. Grenache Noir is the archetypal hot climate vine, yielding spicy and sweet grapes, complemented by the more structured Syrah with its hints of black pepper and a tiny bit of dark and gamy Mourvedre. Barrel-aged for 18 months in 300-liter hogsheads (primarily in used French oak).
