Great Greek Organic Wines

Vasilis Tsaktsarlis and Vangelis Gerovasileiou, two famous Greek oenologist had created a winery on the barren slopes of Mount Pangeon, Kokkinohori near Kavala, at an altitude of 350m above sea level, a place where its viticultural tradition existed since ancient times. Theoktitus and the Byzantine monk Michael Psellos had referred to the region as Biblia Chora, hence the name of the estate.

The estate is situated in a place with ideal conditions to plant vines due to Mount Pangeon’s contours, combined with the cool breezes from the Strymonic Gulf and the flinty soil of the region. Native grapes planted are the Greek Asyrtiko and Agiorgitiko and well as international varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillion, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in compliance with the established standards for organic viticulture.
